McDonald’s teaching you a lesson and here’s an early learner’s comment on that sign:

The sign is right. McDonald’s doesn’t make kids fat. Parents taking their kids to McDonald’s five days a week makes them fat.

“One morning, on their way to join the eggs in the frying pan, the fillings began to create images of their own. Next day, the same thing happened again.” That’s how Markus Leikola started this blog: TOWARDS THE OMELETTE

I have maintained a few simple rules, to keep the setting simple: no flash, just daylight from my 3rd floor kitchen window. The “canvas” is an IKEA plastic chopping board, with a few scars of life lived on its surface. No fancy technology or elaborate equipment either. I use a Nokia mobile or Casio 5 or 8 mpx camera. And then just a quick enhancing of the colors, basically, as the treatment. The names given to the images reflect, well, that food can have lives of their own… soul food, if you wish. Stories of what they might be going through. Maybe, even windows to small worlds of their own.

TOWARDS THE OMELETTE is the most actual answer to the age-old question: Why smart and unique content creation is essential to blogging success? Still, wondering: Why this isn’t a tumblog?!

“Cupcakes better watch their back. Pies are on the rise.” via nextdraft.com

No doubt, cats and cupcakes are already very much popular on the Internet. But soon pie lovers will flood the Internet with pictures of pies. Why »

Every year, I predict the death of the cupcake. I’m always wrong. […] But this year, they’ll have real competition from the humble pie. Trend-spotters are calling pie the food of the year. Texas and New York restaurants offer pie happy hours. Pies are showing up at weddings, and pie shops are opening in a neighborhood near you.
