Complied by the Wall Street Journal, this shows how much market share Blackberry and Nokia in particular have lost to Apple and Google in the past year.
Also revealed in the WSJ story is information from an inside source, revealing that development of Android’s “virtual assistant” software has been fast tracked. Codenamed ‘Majel’, the system could be revealed at this week’s Google I/O event, which starts on June 27. Majel has been in development since at least 2011, and has been rumoured to be a more powerful competitor to Apple’s own Siri technology.
