bro you don’t get noticed that way
Note from Ron: Spam linking is the worst way you can build a blog audience. There must be a book somewhere that tells people to do this. It amazes me because A. The people who mainly seeing it are followers that are… already following them. B. A reblog carries this data in most cases anyways.
So, it looks really bad aesthetically, it annoys the audience you already have, it’s incredibly tacky and it has basically no value. It’s autoplay music for deaf people.
Even Tumblr has acknowledged (though it’s so 2011) its growing spam problem, before and nprfreshair’s Melody Kramer has addressed this issue this way »
Dear Tumblr Spammers,
If you’re going to follow Fresh Air and then like 30 of the posts, why not like the most recent posts? If you’re simply trying to get people to find their way to your page, liking posts from last February — all in a row — probably won’t help.
Yours truly,
Mel
